Astra Image Deconvolution Examples
	Deconvolution Deconvolution is more than just sharpening. It can also increase the resolution in an image and remove blur. There are three deconvolution methods in Astra Image: maximum entropy, Lucy Richardson and Van Cittert. Astra Image 3.0 has some of the easiest and fastest deconvolution methods available. Notice how blurry the image is on the left. Convolution filtering and unsharp masking can help only a little.
	After applying deconvolution in Astra Image, the text is now readable. Deconvolution is a powerful tool that can enhance images like no other.
	Deconvolution - Planets The deconvolution methods in Astra Image can bring out hidden detail in planetary images. They can remove the blur caused by atmospheric turbulence, focussing errors and other problems with optics. On the left you can see an unprocessed view of Saturn. It is quite blurry and not much detail is immediately visible.
	After processing with Astra Image, a wealth of detail can be seen, both on the surface of Saturn and in the rings. Notice the partially transparent innermost ring.
	This image of Jupiter is quite good, buy it can be significantly enhanced with deconvolution.
	After running a deconvolution method in Astra Image 3.0, the image has been restored. Notice how much sharper the detail is and how much more detail is visible.
	Deconvolution - Moon Even when an image is reasonably good to the naked eye, deconvolution can bring out a lot more detail. To the left is an unprocessed image of the moon.
	After a little processing with Lucy Richardson deconvolution in Astra Image 3.0, a lot more detail is visible, especially in the seas and around the rims of the craters.
	Deconvolution - Digital Camera Images The deconvolution functions in Astra Image work well with digital images from standard digital cameras. On the left you can see a typical photograph taken with a consumer digital camera.
	After applying deconvolution in Astra Image 3.0, the image is much sharper and a lot more detail is visible. The processed image will make a much better print than the unprocessed one.
